Choose to 'Manually connect to a wireless network' and then enter the following information in the next window: Type in eduroam in the 'Network Name' From the Security Type drop down menu, choose WPA2-enterprise From the Encryption type drop down menu, choose AES Click 'Next' Now Select 'Change connection settings' and select the 'Security' tab, ensuring the 'Choose a network authentication method:' is set to Protected EAP (PEAP): Now select 'Settings' and ensure all the settings match these: Tick to 'Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate' Tick to 'Connect to these servers' and enter radius.uk Tick the 'Add Trust External CA Root' in 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities' Use drop down menu to 'Don't ask use to authorise new servers or trusted CAs' Click the 'Configure' button and untick the 'Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) then click 'OK' Click 'OK' Now close all the windows you opened as part of this configuration.
From your list of wireless networks, click on eduroam again.
If your device fails to connect, follow these steps: 1. Select 'Manually conect to a wireless network' and click 'Next'. Enter the information as shown in the image below and then click 'Next'. Another window should open stating that you have successfully added Concordia University. Select the 'Connection' tab and check the first and third boxes (Connect automatically when this network is in range & Connect even if the network is not broadcasting its name (SSID)). You may also choose to remember the credentials by checking the applicable box, then click 'Settings'. By default, this option will be selected - unselect it and click OK. This will bring you back to the Wireless Network Properties window. This popup window will ask users to accept a security certificate similar to the one required by Apple devices.
Right click on the Network icon and choose 'Open Network and Sharing Center'. This generaly occurs when the Windows operating system has not been updated for a long period of time.
From the Control Panel, open the Network and Sharing Centre.
Under the 'Change your networking settings' heading, select 'Set up a new connection or network'.
After rebooting, you will be ask to enter your credential.
Enter you login as your email account and your password.
Please note: If your network equipment does not support WPA2-Enterprise, please instead select: WPA-Enterprise for the "Security Type", and for the "Encryption Type": AES. For "Security Type": WPA2, "Encryption Type": AES After clicking "OK", you will see the connection status in the lower right corner of the screen.
